Sheppey United are delighted to announce that versatile utility player Mamadou Diallo has officially returned to the club.

The 25-year-old, known for his exceptional ability to operate across the entire defensive line, spent the last year away from competitive football to focus on the growth of his personal business ventures. Diallo is a formidable asset on the pitch, possessing the rare technical skill of being equally comfortable with both feet combined with an explosive, accelerating pace that allows him to recover quickly and contribute to offensive transitions.

Recognising his talent and the impact he previously made, Sheppey United acted decisively to secure his services as soon as the opportunity for his return to the game arose. Diallo originally arrived in the UK from Portugal and established his reputation during successful spells with Ashford United throughout the 2020–21 and 2022–23 campaigns, where he was primarily utilised as a dynamic force on the left-hand side of the field.

Following his initial arrival at Sheppey United toward the conclusion of the club's first season at Step 4, "Mams" became a mainstay in the squad for two further consecutive seasons. His contributions were pivotal for the club, including their memorable run to the FA Cup 1st Round Proper.

Welcoming the return of a fan-favorite, manager George Batten expressed his enthusiasm, stating: "This is another significant signing for our squad. Mams is an incredibly reliable player who has never let this club down. He is a high-quality professional and a popular figure in the dressing room who built a very strong connection with our supporters during his previous time here."
