Sheppey United Youth

Developing players. Building confidence. Creating memories.

Sheppey United FC is proud to hold England Football's prestigious 3 Star Accredited Club status, recognising our commitment to providing a safe, inclusive and high-quality football environment. This accreditation reflects the hard work of our volunteers, coaches and committee in meeting the highest standards of safeguarding, coaching, governance and player development, ensuring every player has the opportunity to enjoy football, develop their skills and reach their full potential.

At Sheppey United FC Youth, we are committed to providing a fun, safe and inclusive environment where every young player can develop both on and off the pitch. Our focus is on helping children build confidence, develop their football ability and enjoy being part of a team, while promoting the values of respect, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship. Whether a player is taking their first steps in football or competing at a higher level, our qualified coaches provide age-appropriate support to help every individual reach their potential.

We currently offer teams from Under 7 through to Under 18, providing a clear pathway for players to develop throughout their youth football journey. Our teams compete across a range of well-respected leagues, including the Kent Youth League, Kent Girls & Ladies Football League, Medway District Youth League, Maidstone Invicta Primary League, Maidstone Youth League, and the Faversham & District Youth Football League, ensuring players experience football at the level most appropriate to their stage of development.

As a proud 3 Star England Football Accredited Club, we are committed to delivering football the right way. Alongside our thriving boys' and girls' sections, we continue to invest in coach development, safeguarding, facilities and opportunities for all players, creating a welcoming community where everyone can enjoy football and feel part of the Sheppey United family.

Football for 4 to 6 year olds

Mini Ites

Our Mini Ites sessions are designed for children aged 4–6 years old, providing a fun, safe and engaging introduction to football. Sessions focus on developing fundamental movement skills, coordination, confidence and teamwork through exciting games and age-appropriate activities, all delivered by our friendly FA-qualified coaches.

Whether your child is kicking a football for the very first time or already loves the game, Mini Ites offers the perfect environment to make new friends, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of football.

Our Wildcats sessions provide a fun, friendly and inclusive introduction to football for girls aged 5–11. Whether your child is kicking a football for the very first time or has already discovered a love for the game, our qualified coaches create a safe and supportive environment where every girl can develop confidence, learn new skills and make lasting friendships through football.

Wildcats is also the first step into our thriving girls' pathway at Sheppey United FC. As players grow in confidence and ability, they have the opportunity to progress into one of our girls' teams competing in the Kent Girls & Ladies Football League, allowing them to continue their football journey within the club from grassroots through to youth football.

Find Us

Sheppey United FC Youth is proud to operate across two fantastic venues on the Isle of Sheppey, providing high-quality facilities for training and matchdays throughout the season. Together, these sites enable us to offer football for players from Under 7 through to Under 18, as well as our Mini Ites and Wildcats Girls Football programmes.

The Sharrocks Stadium, Holm Park, Queenborough Road, Sheerness, ME12 3DD

The Sharrocks Stadium is the home of Sheppey United FC and one of the primary venues for our youth section. The site features our floodlit 3G artificial grass pitch, providing an excellent playing surface for training throughout the year. Holm Park is also the home of our Mini Ites and Wildcats Girls Football sessions and hosts youth fixtures across our 5-a-side, 7-a-side and 9-a-side formats. The clubhouse offers refreshments and facilities for players, families and visiting teams, making it a fantastic environment for everyone involved with the club.

EKC Sheppey Secondary, Marine Parade, Sheerness, ME12 2AZ

EKC Sheppey Secondary is our second youth venue and plays an important role in supporting our growing youth section. The site hosts fixtures across all formats of youth football, from 3-a-side through to 11-a-side.

By utilising both venues, Sheppey United FC Youth is able to provide a safe, welcoming and well-equipped environment for every player. From a child's first football experience in Mini Ites to competitive youth football at Under 18, our facilities support every stage of the player development pathway and reflect our commitment to delivering the best possible football experience for all.
