Weโre incredibly proud to announce that Sheppey United Youth F.C has now achieved ๐๐ป๐ด๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐ฏ ๐ฆ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐โฝ
This isnโt something that happens overnight. Itโs the result of a huge amount of work from volunteers behind the scenes and reflects our commitment to creating opportunities for everyone to play football.
At the beginning of the 2025/26 season, we moved from 1 Star to 2 Star Accreditation after some fantastic work from Penny Woods, our previous Disability & Inclusion Officer, who helped establish our Saturday PAN Disability sessions. Alongside this, working with Adam Johnson, our Head of Girls Football, we introduced open girls training which led to the launch of four all-girls teams for the 2025/26 season โ U10 Girls, two U12 Girls teams and U14 Girls โ and saw us accepted into the KGLFL. ๐
That was a huge step forward for our clubโฆ but we didnโt stop there.
Throughout this season weโve continued working hard behind the scenes and weโre excited to share that weโll soon be reintroducing open girls training sessions to support girls outside of the age groups we currently cater for and continue building opportunities locally.
Achieving 3 Star Accreditation means a club provides a complete football pathway across boys, girls and disability football โ something only a small number of grassroots clubs reach. It recognises clubs that create inclusive opportunities and sustainable football environments for players of all backgrounds and abilities.
This badge isnโt just recognition of where we are today โ itโs recognition of where weโre heading. More opportunities. More pathways. More football for our community โค๏ธ๐ค
A massive thank you to everyone involved โ youth committee members that includes Gary Seamark, Ross Wiles, Lucy Thomsett, Kev Long, Luke Crouch, Azza Gray & Nick Thompson, volunteers, coaches, parents and players. This achievement belongs to all of you.
