New Signings

Goalkeeper Aiden Prall is the latest returnee for the 2024/25 season.

The keeper, who’ll be heading into his third season at Holm Park said, “I’m buzzing to be staying at the club! Ever since I joined the Ites, I’ve been made to feel at home from the fans and have enjoyed my football here ever since!

“I’m excited to push on next season and hopefully go one better to get the play offs which the club and the fans deserve! – I can’t wait to see you all back down at Holm Park!”

Manager Ernie Batten was equally happy to get this deal done, “Aiden is without doubt one of the standout keepers at this level and that has shown in his previous two seasons here.

“He was a signing I always wanted to bring in, and he’s never really let us down, – he can earn you points with the saves he makes and he’s a character we all love at the club.”

Adding to to that, Assistant Manager Darren Blackburn said, “Getting to know Aidan during several long distance conversations due to him being in Oz recently, it’s clear he is a great lad and like Ernie I’ve been an admirer of him since his Corinthian days and tried to sign him at other clubs I’ve been with, so it’s nice to finally be working with him!

“With him being away, we’ve had to hold our nerve and stay patient but he’s clearly an honest lad who loves the club and although we’ve had to wait it’s been worth it. It’s proof that honest 2 way communication works and credit to Aidan for the way he’s conducted matters, really pleased he’s staying and to get him over the line.

“Players like Aidan, Danny Leonard and the other lads who have re-signed are the bench mark and we are doing all we can to make sure every signing is the right one.”

Finally, Goalkeeper coach Beefy was delighted to be working with Aiden again, “It’s fantastic to be able to retain Aiden and be working with him again this upcoming season.

“He had a mixed season last year which was disrupted with a nasty injury – but I know he will want to break his own target and play every game.

“Knowing he can play higher up the levels he’s a major asset to the club and I think we will aim to go a few better with the clean sheets again this year.”

Aiden will again wear the number 1 shirt and will look to add to his record of 95 Ites games and 27 clean sheets.
