HAT-TRICK OF SIGNINGS BY BATTEN

Club News

Sheppey United can confirm the signing of three players ahead of Tuesday nights fixture at Three Bridges.

The first confirmed was local scholar Harrison McCall. The 17 year old has featured for both our U18s and U23s – with the 1st team management team feeding off the promising feedback received about the prospect who’s at home at rightback but can also push further up. Playing as a winger for the U23s at Margate last Friday, McCall bagged a goal and assist.

Next through the door is a recognised face – the return of veteran Renford Tenyue. Tenyue was of course Battens’ player of the season during the 4 trophy success campaign and not only offers a lot of experience but the versatility of being able to play either side at fullback or as a winger. Tenyue will now be looking to add to his 67 Ites games (3 goals).

The final face is a new one – in the form of striker Javaun Splatt who joins us from Sittingbourne. Splatt started out at Derby, with both their U18s and U23s which during those years he was also loaned to Barnsley U23s and Mickleover Sports.

His career has also seen him at Tonbridge Angels and Leatherhead, with his most notable spell coming at Whitehawk, where for the Hawks in the 2021-22 campaign he scored nineteen goals in forty three appearances.

All three are registered in time to be considered for Tuesday night.
