Club captain Richie Hamill is the fourth confirmed squad member for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Popular midfielder Richie took over the captains responsibility midway through last season and with that also saw the Ites pick up a run of good form.

Hamill said, “It was an honour to be asked to captain the side. I’ve been here a while now, and heading into my 5th season with the Ites is something I can’t wait to get going again.

“We learnt a lot about this league as we went through the campaign, and that will put us in a stronger position for 23/24”

Richie Hamill coming back next season was a priority for Manager Jack Midson, who commented, “Richie showed what a good captain he is, his presence on the pitch was a major contribution to how we performed as a team during the second half of the season.

“When he was injured for a few games we really missed him and that showed in the results. We were a young side last season and Richie’s experience helped us as a team.

Richie will continue to wear shirt no.6 next season and will look to add to his 141 club appearances (12 goals).
