Winger Danny Leonard is the second confirmed squad member for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Danny Leonard rejoined the Ites last summer after the club paid an undisclosed transfer fee to Dartford FC. After a few injury niggles during the first part of the campaign, Leonard would then be a regular starter from late December, only missing one game since then due to illness. His input was a vital part of the strong run during 2023 with the winger ending the season with 15 assists, two penalties won, 7 goals scored, 4 supporters man of the match wins – all from 38 appearances.

Contracted player Danny Leonard said, “After a frustrating start to last season both personally and as a team we really took off from Christmas and it shows we can compete with the best in this league.

“Next season is a chance to carry my form on and go even further as a club. I can’t wait to get started again in July”

Having Danny Leonard is a key part of Manager Jack Midson plans, who commented,  “Danny had a bit of a on/off start to last season due to a few injuries but from that Sittingbourne game away he only missed one game, which shows how important he was to our good run.

“His ability to run with the ball and get in behind defences without it matched with his trickery gave defenders’ nightmares.

“He’ll be an important player for us next season.”

Danny will wear shirt no.7 next season and will look to add to his 92 club appearances (32 goals).
