ERNIE PULLS FOUR SIGNINGS OUT OF THE DRAWER

Club News

Sheppey United are delighted to welcome the addition of four new squad players.

Our first introduction is Max Oldham.

28 year old winger Max made his debut on Tuesday night when we defeated Kennington 2-0 in the SCEFL Challenge Cup.  A pacey wide player hailing from California ,he played for San Jose Earthquakes U23’s before venturing to the UK. Max played for Merstham in between two long spells at Corinthian Casuals. Oldham can operate on either flank.

Another new winger to the squad is 26 year old Henry Dasofunjo.

With his pace and skill being typical of the style that gets Ites fans excited, Henry could be a vital addition at this stage of the season. Dasofunjo joins us from Erith & Belvedere and he was also previously with Bridon Ropes during the 2018-19 season where he scored 16 goals.

With two new wingers, it’s only fitting we also add a forward in the middle of them too – So welcome to Max Morgan.

Some supporters may remember 24 year old Max playing against us for K Sports not so long ago (as captain). Before joining K Sports, Max was with Faversham Town and this season has netted 8 goals in 13 SCEFL games. Max is the son of Barry Morgan, someone well known to many people here at Sheppey United.

Last, but not least it’s a welcome to 26 year old midfielder Ashley Sheppard.

Sheppard likes to orchestrate play from midfield and has put in some strong performances for Rusthall this term. Sheppard scored the winning goals that saw Rusthall defeat Tunbridge Wells and Canterbury City this season.

All four players gave an interview on Thursday night which you can see here:

Keep your eye out for possibly more incomings next week.
