HUDSON TREBLE KEEPS ITES ON THE WINNING RUN

Match Reports

Sheppey United brushed aside Erith & Belvedere 4-0 at home on Saturday in a game that saw Malachi Hudson bag a hat-trick.

The Ites fielded an unchanged line-up to the one that beat Rusthall the previous weekend.

Sheppey started brightly and were ahead inside the first five minutes – Junior Aikhionbare passing out left to Hudson who hit a curler into the corner of the net for 1-0.
On the half hour mark the Ites doubled their lead. Hudson this time turning provider when he passed across the 18 yard box for Billy Bennett to place a shot for 2-0. Hudson and Aibangbee both had chances to increase the lead but neither opportunity was taken.

The Ites scored early after the restart – Bennett from just inside the 18 yard box turning provider for Hudson who turned well before dispatching a left foot shot into the roof of the goal for 3-0.

Bennett was again on hand to assist Hudson on 62 minutes, a forward pass latched onto by the winger who went on to bag his hat-trick for 4-0 – He was also the 3rd Sheppey player to score a hat-trick this season (Jack Midson and Billy Bennett being the other two).

It was a quiet afternoon for Adam Molloy with the Ites defence defending well to ensure Sheppey kept their 6th clean sheet in 7 games.
