New Season… No Problem

Club News

As pre-season continues in readiness for the opening game of the season, the club has been trialling its streaming services. We grabbed a word with Chairman Matthew Smith about the streaming service to be offered by the club:

“It’s been a busy few months at the club and whilst all you supporters have been away we have been making lots of changes to our home, the newly re-branded TOTAL POWER STADIUM – HOLM PARK. We cannot wait to welcome you the supporters back into the stadium but given the current un-certainties surrounding supporters attendance we have entered into a partnership with RYG and they shall be filming all home and away games next season and we will try to stream as many of these LIVE as we can!

All season tickets holders who have purchased their tickets online will receive an email over the coming days with an invite to a closed Facebook Group where games will be streamed LIVE. Non season ticket holders will also be able to purchase a one-of single match entry to the group via the club website. As you will imagine this is our first step using this new system and whilst I do not expect there to be any issues we all know there will be teething problems in the beginning, which I implore you to be patient. Our aim is to present the matchday teams before kick off, go LIVE for the first half, then at half time display the matchday statistics and then go LIVE again for the second half. I do appreciate that not everyone has Facebook but in order to use this service you will need a current Facebook account to enable you to access the Closed SUFC Group – please note that ONLY the named season ticket holder will be granted access to this group.

In these times of uncertainty I wanted to also let you know that if our season is cut short this coming year and we play less than 75% of our scheduled games that all season ticket purchases will roll forward into the next season. I want to say that our season ticket holders are the lifeblood of this club and paying your money as you have has enabled us to complete the re-structuring works and build the squad. So if you haven’t renewed your season ticket yet then please visit us at so you can enjoy watching the lads play.

Stay safe and should you have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch with me via the website”

As Matt says now is a great time to renew or purchase a season ticket and with the reduced capacity at Holm Park, what better way to guarantee your attendance as one of the 250 allowed entry. I know Matt is doing all he can to change this figure however with our COVID-19 Risk Assessment in place chances are this number will be the maximum for the coming months at least.
