Nodi On-board!

Club News, New Signings

SUFC are pleased to welcome Nodirbek Bobomurodov to the club. We caught up with Nodi after he played against Bromley U23s at the weekend.

Can you give a rundown of your playing career?

Well I Started my youth football at Chipstead FC, I then moved onto Bromley FC for two seasons while I was also enrolled in the Crystal Palace foundation academy for two years. From then I moved onto teams such as Crowborough, Corinthians then Rusthall last season.

What was the deciding factor in you joining the Ites? Talk us through how the moved happened?

After a game against Sheppey last season, Jono contacted me after the game and had a chat. After speaking a few times I felt like the clubs vision and targets for this season was something I wanted to be a part of.

What was your impression of the pitch, stadium and fans?

As everyone knows Sheppey’s known for their highly supportive fans who attend in numbers in games which I experienced first-hand when I played Sheppey at home! As for the pitch, its a quality pitch and one of the best I’ve played on.

What are your thoughts on the forthcoming preseason games that are lined up?

Got a lot of good teams coming up like East Grinstead, Gillingham etc. Think it will be a good test for the team which we can take positives out of into the new season.

Have you played with anyone from the current Sheppey squad in the past?

Played with Steven Ita a few times while at Corinthians reserves and also trained with Ola a few times at Bromley. Also came up against a couple of the other boys last season.

What strengths do you have that you can bring to the team?

I’m a left footed midfielder/winger, good on the ball and can bring others into play with quick passes when going forward. Hardworking and always give 100% on the pitch.

Do you have a nickname that previous teammates called you?

I often get called “Nodi” or “Nods”. Quite handy as my name is quite lengthy as you can see haha!

You played in the friendly against Bromley U23s, how did you get on?

We won 4-1 in the end so we got the win, managed to get a goal and an assist as well so I think it was a good performance overall from the team.

Do you have a message for the SUFC supporters?

Thank you for welcoming me into the club, ready and excited to get started!

Thanks Nods
