Welcome back Conrad Lee

We are please to announce the return of Conrad Lee!

Assistant Manager Jono Richardson commented:

Conrad will be the first to say he has unfinished business at Sheppey. He has one of the best left foots in non-league football and we’re confident we can get the best out of him next season. I’ve worked with Conrad for many years and know how good he can be!

Here’s what Conrad had to say.

I’ll start with the obvious question… Why did you leave last season?

Due to personal reasons I decided to leave. It had nothing to do with the club or players and I apologise for the way I left that wasn’t right.

What was the deciding factor in you re-joining the Ites? Talk us though how the moved happened?

I would say Jono if I’m being entirely honest. I played with him at Sittingbourne for 2 and a half years and he knows what a player I can be and I believe in him to get me back to that stage again causing trouble for other teams assisting the likes of Bradshaw and Rob Denness up top.

It might be too soon to ask but had Ernie asked you to perform a certain role on the pitch?

Not a certain role per say just the basics defend well don’t get beat 1on1s and to get forward and deliver crosses just like they know I can and to be a handful going forward regularly

What sports icon would you say has influenced you the most?

I’d probably say Fernando Torres when he was at Liverpool, when I was younger believe it or not I played up front and that’s who I wanted to be like.

Are you superstitious? Do you have special routine before a match?

Yeah I’m superstitious it’s always left first before right left sock left boot tap around my left wrist and to always be last out the changing room on match days at the back of the line.

Do you have a message for the SUFC supporters?

I’m sorry for the way I left last season and I’m sorry for the fact that I believe personally you didn’t get to see the best of me but I assure you this season I have a point to prove to you all including the team and staff what I’m capable of.

Thanks Conrad
